Why is RAM Prices So High Right Now?

I'm gearing up to build a new PC after sticking with my old setup for eight years, which has a GTX 1080 and a CPU that constantly runs at over 80%. I've been checking prices and noticed that RAM is crazy expensive lately, especially with the 64GB I need for work. Just a few months ago, prices were much lower. I suspect the rise in demand due to companies investing heavily in AI is causing this spike, and I'm worried they won't come down anytime soon. Is there a way to find DDR5 64GB RAM cheaper, preferably in white with some RGB? A couple of links showing different prices are below: the RAM I want is priced at $550 on Amazon but only $250 on Vuugo for the same model. Can anyone explain the price discrepancy and help me find a better deal?

Honestly, if there were a secret website for cheap RAM, we'd all know about it by now! But if you check, sometimes prices differ drastically between sites like Vuugo and Amazon, which can be confusing.

Exactly! I found my desired RAM for $500 on PCPartPicker, but Vuugo has it for $250. It's frustrating trying to figure out why. What gives?

One way to tackle high RAM prices is to avoid products tied to AI hype. If everyone cuts back on those subscriptions and marketing, we might see some prices drop. It's worth spreading the word to friends too!
