Why is Subnautica running poorly with my high-end PC?

I launched Subnautica for the first time and noticed a blurry afterimage of the user interface that briefly lingers before disappearing. Performance is also surprisingly low, averaging around 26 FPS. My system has an AMD Ryzen 5 9600X, 16 GB of RAM, and a Radeon RX 9070 XT. What could be causing these visual issues and poor performance?

Make sure your monitor cable is plugged directly into the Radeon RX 9070 XT rather than the motherboard’s video output. That would ensure the game is using the dedicated graphics card.

Yes, the monitor is connected directly to the graphics card.

Also check that the graphics card is installed in the motherboard’s primary PCIe x16 slot. If it is running through a slower slot, it could affect performance, although the blurry UI effect may have a separate cause.
