I launched Subnautica for the first time and noticed a strange visual issue: parts of the user interface appeared blurry or left behind an afterimage before fading away. The game is also averaging only about 26 FPS, despite my system having an AMD Ryzen 5 9600X, 16 GB of RAM, and a Radeon RX 9070 XT. What could be causing the poor performance and UI ghosting?

First, make sure your monitor cable is plugged into the Radeon RX 9070 XT rather than the motherboard’s video output. If it is already connected to the graphics card, check the game’s resolution, upscaling, motion blur, frame-generation, and display settings, since those can sometimes cause blurry UI or ghosting.
It’s also worth confirming that the graphics card is installed in the motherboard’s primary PCIe x16 slot. A lower-bandwidth slot can affect performance. After that, update or clean-install the Radeon graphics driver and verify that the game is actually using the dedicated GPU.
