I'm curious about the delays in shipping for the Mac mini M4. I really need a new computer since mine has died, but I'm looking at a delivery estimate of 4 to 5 weeks. Does anyone have insights on why it's taking so long?

A big part of the delay is probably due to high demand right now. It’s not just you waiting for it!
You basically have two options: wait for Apple to ship it or cancel your order and hope you don't regret your decision later.
I know it's frustrating, but keep in mind that the M5 model isn't too far away either. I’ve decided to just be patient and wait this one out.
Best idea is to check with Apple stores near you to see if they have any Mac mini M4 units in stock. Online orders can be slow to restock, but the physical stores might have what you need.
Have you tried checking local retail stores? Sometimes they might have stock available that Apple doesn't. If you find one, just cancel your order with Apple and grab it from there.
