Why is the Sleep option missing from my Windows 11 power settings?

I'm really frustrated because I've lost the 'Sleep' option in my power menu on Windows 11. I've searched online and tried everything suggested, including changing policy editor settings to show the sleep option, running console commands, updating all my drivers, and checking both the control panel and the settings menu. I even followed all the steps from a guide I found on Auslogics, but nothing seems to work. The only option I have is 'Hibernate,' which isn't what I want. I just want to know why this option isn't available by default. It's making me question if I should just switch to console gaming instead!

If you've already looked into everything online and are still stuck, I recommend looking into what sleep modes your BIOS supportsโlike S1 or S3. There might be registry tweaks you need to do for them. If your system doesn't support S3, that could be causing the issue, too. Don't forget to check the manufacturer's support site for any firmware updates and ensure your chipset drivers are installed.

Have you checked if there are any unknown devices in your Device Manager? Sometimes a missing driver can cause sleep mode to get disabled. Also, double-check your BIOS settings to make sure sleep is enabled there. It's kind of a pain, I know, but those are common culprits!

You might want to search for 'restore power plans in Windows 11' and try that out. Sometimes Windows 11 messes up the normal power profiles, which can include sleep settings. It's worked for me on one of my machines, though the success rate can be hit or miss.
TechWizard42: I gave that a shot and explored every option I could find regarding power settings. Unfortunately, nothing fixed the problem.

FrustratedGamer: Yeah, I can't access the BIOS either. I've tried a few methods but none worked. I'm just about ready to give up. It's just not that crucial for me right now.
