I've done some digging and found out that the speaker and microphone positions might be switched on my iPhone. Typically, the left side is supposed to be where the microphone is located, and the right side should have the speaker. But in my case, the left side is playing music while the right side is completely silent. Could this be a manufacturing error where the two parts got swapped?

iPhones usually have one earpiece speaker and one bottom speaker. If both are functioning, then there might not be an issue. But it sounds like you're saying the sound is coming from the left side instead of the right where it’s generally expected. That’s definitely unusual, and if you’re concerned, getting it checked at an Apple Store is a good call!
Actually, the speaker's position can be a bit confusing. When you look at the iPhone 17 from the display side, the speaker is indeed on the left. If you're checking from the back, it can look different. It’s unlikely for the parts to swap due to how tightly everything fits together.
Honestly, your phone should be fine! It’s just a matter of how the speakers are arranged. The design is pretty solid, so I doubt there's a mix-up in manufacturing.
