Why is Windows Update Inconsistent for the 25H2 Feature Update?

I'm currently deploying a dozen PCs with Windows 11 24H2, but I'm frustrated by how Windows Update handles the rollout for the 25H2 feature update. Sometimes, it shows up right away when I check for updates, while other times I can click 'check for updates' multiple times and it just doesn't appear. It's giving me a headache! I could use the installation assistant, but it takes significantly longer—about 10 minutes with Windows Update compared to around 35 minutes using the assistant. Has anyone else experienced this inconsistency?

Just to add, if you're dealing with ARM devices, there's also an enablement package specifically for those as well! Here's the link for that: https://catalog.sf.dl.delivery.mp.microsoft.com/filestreamingservice/files/2e42e2b9-993c-4cc5-a8c5-6e20fc64b17e/public/windows11.0-kb5054156-arm64_e57cf6837a8b9877786ec3e7a366503a6072f5e5.msu. This might be handy if you need it for different types of hardware.

If your devices are fully up to date with 24H2, you can manually install the 25H2 enablement package. It's only 150KB and installs pretty fast after a single reboot, meaning you won't have to wait for Windows Update to offer it. Here’s the link to download it: https://catalog.sf.dl.delivery.mp.microsoft.com/filestreamingservice/files/67731ce0-1988-426a-afa3-044a032eb6c6/public/windows11.0-kb5054156-x64_9fd13360d2c5af23ec4f591b86f1c1db37aada37.msu. This should help speed things up for you!

It's definitely a staggered rollout managed by Microsoft. They control how updates are pushed out, so it’s not unusual for you to see the update on some devices and not others. It's like some PCs get a golden ticket while others are still waiting their turn! You might just have to be patient, or use another method if you need it sooner.
