Why isn’t my USB booting on my desktop?

I'm having trouble getting my desktop to boot from a USB drive. I tried using it to fix my desktop, but it just won't start up from there. I'm seeing error codes like 0xc0000221 and 0xc0000098. I've already disabled secure boot and fast boot, and I'm using a SanDisk SDCZ250 32GB USB flash drive. It doesn't work from the F12 boot menu either, so I'm at a loss here.

Those error codes usually indicate that there's something wrong with the USB itself. It might not be reliable enough for booting, so you could try getting a different USB drive that’s known to be good for this purpose.

Make sure your USB drive is set up correctly as a bootable installer. Sometimes the errors are due to issues with the system disk integrity in the EFI partition or a missing EFI system partition. Could you share more details on how you created the bootable USB? Also, what are the specs of your system? This might help narrow down the problem.
