I recently did a factory reset on my Windows 11 computer, and now my USB microphone, the Samson C01U, isn't picking up any sound. It shows up as detected by my system, but despite adjusting the microphone level and reinstalling the drivers, it's still silent. I even disabled other input devices to rule them out, but nothing seems to help. My tech-savvy friend thinks it's odd that my mic is acting up like this. Any ideas on how to fix it?

Have you checked the drivers for your USB ports? Sometimes the ports might need an update as well. Also, don’t forget to try plugging your mic into a different USB port just in case one of them is acting up.
I get what you're going through. After a reset, sometimes the system settings can get a bit wonky. Try going into your sound settings and ensure the microphone is set as the default input device. Sometimes, it can get switched to a different device after a reset.
