Why won’t my monitor work without being connected to the GPU?

I recently re-installed my heat sink and Wi-Fi card after cleaning the heat sink and replacing the Wi-Fi card, and now my monitor only works when it's plugged into the GPU. I heard that this might not be good for the system. Also, I'm having trouble with my new Wi-Fi card, which includes Bluetooth functionality—the Bluetooth option doesn't show up on my PC. Did I possibly connect it incorrectly?

Yeah, your monitor should typically be plugged into the GPU, especially for gaming or heavy graphics tasks. Regarding the Wi-Fi card, make sure it’s seated properly in the PCIe slot and that you've connected the cable from the card to a USB 2.0 header. If it’s not showing up, it could just be a missed connection.

If your monitor only works when connected to the GPU, that’s usually how it’s supposed to be set up. If you connect it to the motherboard, it may not utilize the GPU properly, which can be a problem if you're relying on it for performance. Also, check if your Wi-Fi card is in a PCIe slot and ensure it’s connected to a USB 2.0 header on the motherboard for the Bluetooth to work correctly.
