Why won’t my new PC boot up with a Ryzen 5 5600 CPU?

I just completed my new build and connected everything, but I'm not getting any BIOS screen. I'm using a GIGABYTE B550M DS3H AC R2 motherboard that's supposed to support Ryzen 5000 series processors, but it seems like my Ryzen 5 5600 might be too new for it. Do I need to take it to a store for a BIOS upgrade since I don't have an older CPU to test it with?

What GPU are you using? Three years ago, my GIGABYTE A520 motherboard worked without any issues right out of the box. It's hard to imagine that your new motherboard would give you trouble with the CPU you bought.

I'm using an RTX 5060.

So, does your system power on? Like, do the fans spin and all that?

Yeah, everything spins, but my HDMI shows no connection.

The Ryzen 5 5600 should work fine with the stock BIOS on your motherboard, so it should be compatible from the get-go. Try re-seating the RAM and make sure your monitor is connected to the GPU and not the motherboard. Also, check if the NUM LOCK light on your keyboard turns on when you boot. If it lights up, that means it’s posting, but there might be a video output issue.

I just tried that, but I'm still not seeing the BIOS screen. The compatibility is still a concern, right? I noticed that on PC Part Picker.
