Why Won’t My Old Laptop Display Anything After I Hit the Keyboard?

I've got an Itautec W7510 laptop that just won't show any display after I got a bit frustrated and punched the internal keyboard. When I power it up, the LEDs light up and the fans spin, but there's no display at all, and it eventually just shuts down. What could be causing this, and how can I fix it?

Your issue might be a damaged motherboard. It could be that you cracked the PCB when you hit the keyboard or something on the surface might be broken. That could explain why you're getting power but no display.

Another possibility is the RAM. While some people might jump to blaming the GPU or CPU, it’s worth checking the RAM first, although I think head trauma from a punch might have done something worse here.

You're dealing with an integrated Intel GPU, so if there's any damage there, it might impact your display. Sometimes older models like this don’t handle sudden impacts well!
