Why won’t my powerline adapter connect to one specific laptop?

I recently purchased an AV600 TL-PA4010 powerline adapter to extend my internet connection but ran into an issue. It works perfectly on my PC, TV, and another laptop, but there's one particular laptop, an ASUS TUF Dash F15 FX517ZM from 2021, that just won't connect. When I turn on the laptop, the ethernet LED on the adapter is on, but it goes off right before I reach the login screen. I've already tried updating the ethernet drivers, but that didn't help. Has anyone else dealt with a similar problem?

First, check if the ethernet adapter is disabled. Have you looked in Network Connections to see if it's showing up as a Local Area Network connection? Sometimes, disabling and re-enabling it can help snag the connection. Also, make sure any power-saving settings aren't interfering with its operation.

It sounds like the ethernet connection is being recognized but maybe there's a conflict or issue specific to that laptop. Since you can see the adapter in the network connections, try unplugging it and plugging it back in. Ensure that the cable is secure, and if it still shows as disconnected, consider checking if there are any specific settings in your laptop’s network settings that might be blocking the connection.
