My Wi-Fi connection used to work normally on both my laptop and phone, but recently my Android phone started showing "no internet access" while the laptop still connects without any problems. I've already tried switching between the randomized MAC address and the device MAC address, but neither setting helped. The phone is a Motorola Edge 40, and I use Proton VPN, although it's currently turned off. What else should I check?

Since you use Proton VPN, make sure it’s completely disconnected rather than just paused. Check whether its kill switch or always-on VPN setting is still enabled, since that can block internet traffic even when the VPN appears off. Also try forgetting the Wi-Fi network, restarting the phone, and connecting again.

I’m using a Motorola Edge 40 on Android. Proton VPN is switched off at the moment, but I’ll check its always-on and kill switch settings too.
