I've got an Intel i3-10100F sitting around and I'm considering pairing it with an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 primarily for Blender work. I don't typically play graphically intense games, but I'd like to know if this combination would lead to significant bottlenecking. Also, can this CPU handle Minecraft with shaders, and if so, will I be able to maintain good framerates? I've heard Minecraft relies more on the CPU than the GPU.

From my experience, the i3-10100F might struggle a bit with a 3070, especially at 1080p. If you go for higher resolutions, it could be more manageable. Consider upgrading to something like an i5-10400 or Ryzen 5 3600 if you want a smoother experience. But if you're playing less demanding games, it should still perform decently with the 3070.
I've used an i3-10100F with a powerful GPU before, and while it technically bottlenecks, it’s not the end of the world. On a 1080p monitor, I still hit good framerates in a variety of games like Minecraft and PUBG. Just be mindful that as games become more demanding, you might find some limitations down the road. Overall, for the titles you mentioned, it should serve you well for now!

Yeah, I've also found that the i3 holds up decently even if it doesn't always shine. Just keep your expectations in check as newer titles release.
