I'm planning to upgrade my PC. Currently, I'm using an i7 9700K with a 3060 Ti and DDR4 RAM. I'm looking to switch to DDR5 and want a strong CPU, so I thought about building a completely new PC featuring the 9800X3D, while keeping the 3060 Ti for now until I'm able to afford a better GPU. I'm estimating around €900 for everything except the RAM, hoping the prices will drop soon. I primarily play CS2 and want a smooth gaming experience without lag or FPS drops, even during intense situations with many smoke effects. I appreciate any advice!

You can achieve a super smooth 360Hz experience at 1280x960 resolution with that setup!
Yes, it will work! The CPU may be slightly underutilized with the 3060 Ti, but that isn't necessarily an issue. Just keep in mind you won't be able to do anything with DDR5 RAM until you buy it.
Why wouldn't it work? What's the concern here?
The GPU should handle CS2 pretty well if you play at low 4:3 resolution. Honestly, RAM prices aren't likely to drop anytime soon, so I suggest you look for a good deal on second-hand DDR5 first, then grab the CPU and motherboard together.

I was worried that the GPU might limit the CPU's performance and that they wouldn’t work well together.
