Hey folks! I'm building my very first gaming PC and I'm pretty new to all this. I'm on a budget and looking for a setup that gives me a good gaming experience without needing the absolute latest hardware. My goal is to play games smoothly and possibly do some recording too. I'm considering pairing an RX 7800 XT GPU with a Ryzen 5 7600X CPU. I currently have a 1080p monitor as my secondary display. I'm starting to wonder if this combo is too much for 1080p gaming. Would I need to upgrade to avoid bottlenecking issues, or could I still get solid performance on my current monitor? Any advice would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

Honestly, if you find that 7800 XT at a good price, it could be worth it. For 1080p gaming, the 7800X3D or even some mid-tier options could work better. But if you're set on that combo for 1080p, just be mindful that the CPU might bottleneck in some cases, especially in CPU-heavy games. Still, you should have high FPS overall!
No problem! Just remember, if you can, upgrade to 1440p in the future; it's worth it!
Grab that combo and plan for a 1440p monitor down the line. They’re quite affordable now and will definitely enhance your gaming experience!
What’s your budget like? I’d recommend only going for the 7800 XT if it’s a great deal, considering 1080p is fine but it might lead to the CPU holding you back in some games. If you play games like Valorant or CS2, you should be alright though!
That combo is great for 1440p gaming! Using it with a 1080p monitor feels a bit like putting a sports car engine in a small sedan. You'll definitely see performance, especially on higher settings, but you might not be fully utilizing the GPU at 1080p.
I watched this video that might help you! It shows what you can expect from that setup. If you like what you see, go for it!

Good to know! I'm okay with high FPS! Thanks for the heads up on the pricing.
