I just bought an RTX 5070 Ti as a last-minute decision, mainly due to fears of price hikes on GPUs. However, I built my PC with a 650W PSU (an EVGA SuperNOVA 650 G3, which is 80+ Gold certified). This new GPU recommends a 750W PSU, but I noticed that PCPartPicker estimates my system's wattage at about 554W with the new 5070 Ti, leaving me roughly 100W of headroom. I'm concerned about whether my current PSU will handle this setup, or if I should consider returning the GPU for a more powerful PSU. Any advice?

I have the same 5070 Ti with a Core Ultra 7 265K and use a 750W PSU. So far, it never draws more than 600W from my UPS, so you might be okay, but having a bit more power overhead can be wise.
That 554W is just a peak number, so keep in mind there could be power spikes that could catch you off guard. I recommend investing in an 850W PSU to safeguard your pricey GPU. Plus, with a proper 850W PSU, you won't have to use PCIe adapters, which have been linked to issues in the past.
The SuperNOVA G3 is a solid power supply, and considering the overall power consumption of your setup, it should be fine. The 8700K might not push the 5070 Ti to its limits anyway. Just keep an eye on it. If your computer shuts down because the PSU can't handle it, then that's your sign to upgrade!
