Will my i7-8700k hold back a 5060 Ti for gaming?

I built my PC about 7 years ago and I'm considering upgrading from my RTX 2060. I'm looking at the 5060 Ti as an option and thinking about bumping my RAM from 16GB to 32GB. My main concern is whether the i7-8700k CPU will bottleneck the 5060 Ti, especially since I plan to game at 1440p. I primarily play games like Total War, single-player RPGs, and Bannerlord, so I don't often dive into huge AAA titles.

Not really, the i7-8700k shouldn't bottleneck the 5060 Ti much at all. It might underperform slightly in some demanding titles, especially in newer games, but overall it should be fine. Just make sure to overclock it and tune your RAM as that could help boost performance.

True, but remember that with the 5060 Ti 8GB model, you might lose performance if you hit the VRAM limit. Better to go for the 16GB version!
