I'm trying to assess how much of a bottleneck my PC might experience with my current specs. Here they are:
- CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 2600X running at 3.6GHz to 4.2GHz, with a 19MB cache.
- Motherboard: ASUS ROG Crosshair VII Hero AM4 AMD X470.
- RAM: G.SKILL TridentZ 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR4 3200.
I also want to mention that I'm upgrading to an RX 9700 XT. Will I face a drastic drop in performance, or will it just be a minor limitation?

Bottlenecks aren't super concrete. Every workload has limits, so while you may hit a wall sometimes, it's usually manageable. If you notice lag, it could be the CPU in certain games, but it won't ruin your experience entirely.
You might not see a significant bottleneck, but it really depends on your workload. If you're gaming or doing something GPU-intensive, the RX 9700 XT should pair pretty well with your setup. You might experience some limits in more CPU-heavy tasks due to the 2600X, but overall, it shouldn't be drastic.

Yeah, I agree! The Ryzen 5 2600X should hold up well, especially in most gaming scenarios.
