Will the RTX 4080 Super Handle 1440p Max Settings Without DLSS?

Hey everyone! I'm in the process of building a new PC and I'm a bit torn on my choices for the CPU and GPU. Right now, I've got a Ryzen 7 9700X and an Aorus Master RTX 4080 Super. I'm planning to game on a 1440p monitor (2560x1440 at 240Hz) with max settings, and I want to avoid using DLSS if possible. Do you think this CPU and GPU combo will be good for max settings? I'm not considering the X3D variants and would prefer to stick with NVIDIA GPUs. If this setup isn't enough, what should I upgrade—CPU, GPU, or both? Also, I'd like to know if there are any compatibility issues with my components. I appreciate any advice! Just a heads up, I've got all the components on hand now. Sorry for the formatting; I'm on mobile!

Are you getting that GPU used or new? If you’ve already got it, that’s awesome, but just in case, keep an eye out for the 5070 Ti as a backup option if needed!

I have the 4080 Super now, but if I find out it’s not cutting it, I'll consider selling it for a 5070 Ti.

It really depends on the games you play and your FPS goals. Since you already have the GPU, why not try it out and see how it performs? If you just recently got the 4080 Super, you might not need anything else unless you’re looking for a specific performance upgrade. And keep in mind, the RTX 5070 Ti could be a good alternative if you find a great deal on it.

I can't wait to test it! I'm particularly excited for the new Cyberpunk and Elden Ring.
