Hey everyone! I'm new to the Apple world and just upgraded from an iPhone 13 to an iPhone 15. I noticed during the setup that there's an option to transfer my data from my old device. Before I go ahead and do that, I want to make sure that it won't delete anything from my iPhone 13. I'm definitely planning to back it up first, but I just wanted to clarify this point to avoid any mishaps.

It won’t delete your iPhone 13 by default. You can choose to keep all your data on it when prompted during the transfer process.
Your data will remain intact on the iPhone 13. After the transfer, you can still receive messages, calls, and notifications over WiFi even if it loses cellular service.
Nope! Your old iPhone will stay just like it is while your new one gets set up. There’s no automatic deletion of your old data.

That's not entirely right! Once the new device is set up, features like iMessage and FaceTime will switch to the new phone. But you can still use apps on the old iPhone if you're logged in.
