I have a laptop running only Fedora Workstation and tried to install Windows 11 using a Ventoy USB drive with a Windows ISO file. During the boot or installation process, I received this message: "Windows Boot Manager failed. EFI/Microsoft/Boot/BCD files are missing or contain errors." I checked the EFI folder, but those files were not present. What could be causing this, and how can I create or boot the Windows installer correctly?

How did you create and prepare the installer USB? Simply having an ISO file is not enough unless it was copied to a properly configured Ventoy drive or written to the USB with a suitable tool. Also, the EFI/Microsoft/Boot/BCD files normally come from the Windows installer, so their absence on Fedora's existing EFI partition is not necessarily the problem. Verify that the Windows ISO downloaded correctly, that Ventoy recognizes it, and that the laptop is booting the USB in the same UEFI mode as the system.
