I'm running Windows 11, and since yesterday my computer has randomly started playing the USB device connected/disconnected sound. I disabled application notifications, so it doesn't seem to be caused by an app. I also checked Event Viewer and refreshed the Windows logs while the sound was happening, but nothing appeared. USBLogView didn't report anything either. What could be causing this, and how can I track it down?

Disconnect everything from the USB ports, including hubs and accessories, then reconnect each device one at a time. Once the sound returns, test that device in another port or replace it with a known-good one. If the issue continues even with the device removed, the port, cable, or USB controller may be the problem.
Wouldn’t USBLogView normally detect the device if a USB accessory were actually disconnecting?
