Windows 11 Update Left My New Gaming Laptop Stuck in an Unreliable Boot Loop

I recently bought a Nimo N153 gaming laptop with 16 GB of RAM and am using Windows 11 for the first time. After watching YouTube, the laptop suddenly showed an error screen and appeared to restart for an update. It stayed stuck for about an hour, so I held the power button to shut it down. Since then, boot behavior has been inconsistent: sometimes the screen remains black, sometimes the Nimo logo appears, and sometimes it reaches a Nimo repair screen with no useful options. I have also occasionally seen Windows recovery messages and random error codes. I cannot reliably enter BIOS or Windows recovery, and Fn+F9 only works occasionally. Support suggested forcing three failed boots to reach the recovery menu, then uninstalling the latest update, trying Startup Repair, or resetting Windows while keeping my files, but the laptop often fails before I can perform those steps. I have had it for only about a month and would appreciate advice on whether this is likely a failed update, overheating, or a hardware problem—and what I should try next.

Overheating could have contributed if it was sitting on bedding or blocking the vents, especially in a hot environment, but it would not normally explain being unable to reach BIOS afterward. Let it cool completely, place it on a desk, connect the charger, and try a full power drain: shut it down, unplug it, hold the power button for about 30 seconds, then reconnect power and try again. If BIOS still does not appear consistently, stop troubleshooting and request a replacement or warranty repair.

If it cannot reliably show the manufacturer logo or let you enter BIOS, this is probably not just a Windows update problem. Windows recovery tools only matter after the firmware has successfully initialized the machine. Try using it on a hard, flat surface with the charger connected, disconnect all USB devices, and see whether the behavior changes. Since the laptop is only a month old, document the symptoms and use the warranty or return period rather than opening it or repeatedly forcing it off.

That makes sense. The inconsistent logo and black-screen behavior are what worry me most, so I’ll contact the seller again and describe it as a possible hardware or firmware failure rather than only a Windows repair issue.
