I factory-reset an HP OMEN Laptop 15-en0xxx running Windows 11, and afterward it stopped accessing my main Wi-Fi network. Before the reset, this connection worked normally. Other devices connect to the same network without problems, and the laptop can access the internet through my phone's hotspot, so the issue seems specific to this Wi-Fi connection or its settings. I've restarted the router, reset networking in Windows, run several ipconfig and netsh commands, reinstalled the Wi-Fi drivers, tried manually setting the IP and DNS, used netcfg -d, and forgotten and re-added the network. The connection still appears as "No internet, secured." What else should I check?

If you manually entered an IP address, DNS server, subnet mask, or gateway, check those values carefully—or revert the adapter to automatic configuration first. Normally the adapter should obtain its IP address and DNS server automatically from the router. If using a manual address, the gateway must be the router’s LAN address, the subnet mask must match the rest of the network, and the IP must be unused.
Make sure the driver you installed is the wireless driver intended for your exact laptop model, rather than only the version Windows selected automatically. After a reset, Windows may use a generic or unsuitable driver. Download the latest Wi-Fi driver from the laptop manufacturer’s support page using the hotspot, install it, and restart the computer.
I tried several available network-adapter drivers and then let Windows choose one automatically, but none fixed the connection.
Since this started immediately after using Windows’ built-in “Reset this PC” feature, confirm which reset option was used and check whether all device drivers and Windows updates finished installing. The hotspot working suggests the wireless hardware is probably functioning, while the main network may be failing during DHCP or with the adapter’s configuration.
I think I entered those values correctly, but I’ll double-check them and try switching everything back to automatic.
