My Windows PC works normally right after startup, but roughly 15–20 minutes later the taskbar becomes unclickable and mouse clicks eventually stop working throughout the system. At the same time, Chrome and Windows Settings occasionally perform a random "Go Back" or previous-page action without me doing anything. The issue remains after a completely clean Windows installation, trying a new mouse, unplugging the keyboard and game controller, and disabling Bluetooth. Windows Update is current, but I have not yet installed the latest drivers and firmware directly from the PC or motherboard manufacturer.

After a clean installation, install the chipset, USB, graphics, and other hardware drivers directly from the computer or motherboard manufacturer’s website. Also keep running Windows Update until there are no remaining updates, including optional driver updates if appropriate. A missing or incorrect device driver could explain both the input failures and the unexpected back-navigation command.
Windows is fully updated, but I haven’t downloaded the manufacturer’s drivers yet. I’ll install those next and see whether the problem changes.
