Would This Dual-Tower Cooler Handle a Ryzen 7 5800X3D or Ryzen 5 5600X3D?

A dual-tower air cooler should handle either of those CPUs without much trouble. I’m not familiar with this particular brand, but the specifications look more than adequate for their power draw. If RAM clearance is your main concern, the Thermalright Royal Knight is specifically designed with extra clearance in mind.

You probably don’t need to rule out the Thermalright cooler over RAM clearance. The front fan can usually be shifted upward on its clips, moved to the rear, or offset slightly to clear taller memory modules. That may be easier than choosing an unfamiliar cooler.

If this is primarily for gaming, the Ryzen 5 5600X3D is the more sensible choice between the two, assuming the price and availability work for you. Either way, a capable twin-tower cooler is plenty for these chips; a reasonably priced dual-tower model such as the Dark Rock would also be a good-value alternative.

This should cool those processors easily. Similar dual-tower models, including the Royal Knight, Peerless Assassin, and comparable be quiet! coolers, perform very well here. I’ve used a Royal Knight with a Ryzen 7 5800X and it performed about as well as my other higher-end Thermalright coolers.

The cooler looks promising, especially since it appears to use a full-size front fan rather than a slim fan. That could give it an advantage over some other compact dual-tower designs, though real-world reviews would be useful before buying.
