Xbox Controller Moves the Mouse Cursor Only in Chrome and Edge

My Xbox controller works normally in games and other applications, but in the latest versions of Microsoft Edge and Google Chrome it suddenly behaves like a mouse or trackpad. Disabling Steam Input did not help. This is happening on an Acer Aspire 7 (A715-42G-R9DU) running Windows 11 Home 64-bit, build 26200. Has anyone found a fix?

This seems to affect certain browser-based apps, while Steam and most other programs continue working normally. Some people have also noticed it in Discord, so it may not be limited to one browser.

Press Windows + G to open the Game Bar, then open Settings and go to More settings > Input. Turn off Gamepad cursor, especially the option that says “Automatically turn on and remember your choice for gamepad cursor on supported apps.” After disabling that, the controller should stop controlling the mouse in supported apps.

That fixed it—thanks! I had been searching everywhere for a solution to this recent issue.
