How long can I expect the RX 9060 XT 16GB to last for 1080p gaming?

I'm considering purchasing the RX 9060 XT 16GB for my setup that includes an R7 5700X processor and 32GB of DDR4 3600MHz RAM on a B450 Tomahawk Max motherboard. I prefer gaming at 1080p with high settings rather than jumping to 1440p. Given that I'm not upgrading my whole system anytime soon, how many years do you think I can continue to play AAA games at high settings without having to worry about performance? I'm hoping to get at least four more years out of this rig.

Honestly, it's hard to predict exact lifespans for GPUs, but I got about 6.5 years out of my 1660 Ti before it started struggling, mostly with demanding titles. I believe the RX 9060 XT should last just as long or longer. You might just need to dial down some settings like shadows or post-processing in more demanding games as time goes on.

You'll be set for at least four years with that setup. Honestly, for pure 1080p gaming, it’s hard to beat the RX 9060 XT. I'm using a 9800X3D with a 9070 XT for 1440p and it’s been fantastic. Your rig should handle upcoming games pretty well, especially with FSR4 in titles like GTA V. Just keep your FPS expectations in check for future releases, and you should be golden!

How much did you spend on your setup?

It really depends on how demanding future games become. For instance, games like Borderlands 4 and the new Microsoft Flight Simulator have pretty high recommended specs now. If you decide to mod games, that could also raise the bar for what you need to run smoothly. I'd check what your system is using while gaming right now to gauge if maybe you need a CPU upgrade instead.

Are those specs for 1080p or 1440p? Seems excessive for 1080p.
