Hey everyone! I'm a junior sys admin at a non-profit organization, and we're on the hunt for a digital archiving solution or cold storage for about 30 to 50 terabytes of data. We've looked into a few services like Preservica and Tind, but honestly, the prices are way out of our budget. Does anyone know of any more affordable options?

Your best bet for saving costs might be to go with local storage. You can find 20-24TB drives relatively cheap, and building a NAS (Network Attached Storage) system would give you good redundancy. Plus, you'd avoid ongoing cloud storage fees.
Consider that if you’ll rarely need to access the data, Amazon Glacier (or Deep Glacier) is hard to beat on pricing. Just remember, access costs can add up if you need to pull a lot of data frequently.
Definitely look into Wasabi or Amazon Glacier—they’re both cost-effective for storing data long term without much need for retrieval.
You might want to check out OVHcloud for pricing. If that doesn't work out, services like Backblaze are pretty budget-friendly too!
