I'm putting together a rig with the following components: MSI MAG X870E TOMAHAWK WIFI Motherboard, PALIT GeForce RTX 5090 GAMEROCK 32G Graphics Card, AMD Ryzen 9 9900X3D AM5 Processor, and G.SKILL TRIDENT Z5 RGB 96Gb (2x48Gb) DDR5-6000 RAM. For storage, I've got a Samsung 990 EVO Plus 2000Gb SSD and I'm using a Deepcool GAMERSTORM PN1200M power supply (1200W, 80+ Gold, ATX3.1). The case is DeepCool CH560, black, and I will also include a DeepCool LQ360 cooler. The total cost is around $6600. I'll primarily be using it for WAN inference and training in ComfyUI, with plans to attach an eGPU 3090 via USB 4. My main questions are: Is the CPU overkill? Will there be any bottlenecks? Is the price way too high? Note that I'm not in the US.

If you're dropping this much cash, I suggest you go for a 9950X3D instead of the 9900X3D. The 9900X3D is kind of underwhelming for gaming. The 9950X3D is better for a mix of production and gaming. You're going to get better performance for your budget!

Oh man, didn't even notice! What’s the big difference? I was also considering the 9700X to save some cash, but I'm unsure about its performance in AI.
