Trouble with Teams Meetings Video on Mac Devices

I'm having issues with Teams Meetings for a client who has a network set up with Meraki hardware, including firewalls, switches, and access points. The problem is specific to Mac users; they can't see their own video or ours during meetings, while Windows machines are operating perfectly fine. We've already tried reinstalling Teams, clearing cache, and whitelisting the devices on the network, but nothing seems to work. Interestingly, when we bypassed the firewall and set up a public IP on a Mac, the problem persisted. I'm starting to think it's a network issue, yet I have my doubts. Has anyone else encountered something similar?

We had a similar problem a while back that affected many users, and it turned out to be an ISP-related issue. A change in Microsoft’s security signatures led to the ISP’s firewall blocking traffic. In our case, people faced white screens during video calls, and if the call connected, the audio and video were super choppy. A good test is to use a VPN—if the calls work fine then, it’s probably something on the ISP side.

Have you solved your issue yet? I’m curious to hear what worked for you.

One approach is to take one of the problematic Mac systems and test it at home or somewhere else. If the issue disappears, it could be a configuration issue with the Mac itself, but if it still happens, it might point to a network config problem. Also, you might want to ask in other tech forums too, like those for Mac admins.
