I'm in the process of building a new PC primarily for AI and large language models (LLMs), and I would love some input on my parts list or any recommendations for changes. Here's what I'm currently planning to use:
- AMD Ryzen 9 7950X
- Gigabyte B850 AORUS Elite WiFi7 (AM5)
- ASUS RTX 5070 Ti
- 64 GB DDR5-6000 CL34
- Samsung 990 PRO (2x1TB + 2x2TB, Gen4 NVMe)
- Seasonic Focus GX-1000 Gold
- ARCTIC Liquid Freezer III Pro 360
- Lian Li O11D Mini V2 Flow
Any thoughts?

Overall, your build looks solid! However, if you can find a used RTX 4090, that would be a better fit, especially for your AI needs since it has higher VRAM which is crucial for LLMs. Just keep an eye on pricing and availability.
If you can score the 3090 Ti for that price, it could be a worthwhile alternative to the 5070 Ti since it's more capable for your workloads.
The 5070 Ti is decent, but I think you might find better performance and value in a 3090 Ti if you can manage it. Just something to think about as you finalize your choices!
I'd suggest going for a pair of RTX 5060 Ti cards if you're considering multi-GPU setups. This could really help with your AI projects and improve processing speed, though it depends on your budget!

I did check around but couldn't spot a 4090 anywhere! The only decent deal I found was a refurbished 3090 Ti for $800 at Micro Center.
