Hey everyone! I'm trying to decide whether to upgrade my CPU or GPU to improve my gaming experience, especially for CS2 and other games. Right now, I'm using a GTX 1060 6GB and an Intel Core i7-3770. What do you think would be the best upgrade for more comfortable gameplay?

You can lower your resolution and use upscaling techniques to ease the strain on your GPU, but there's no real way to lessen CPU load. Given your specs, I'd say addressing the CPU would be a priority, but don't forget that your GPU is getting a bit old too!

For CS2 specifically, I’d recommend focusing on the CPU upgrade. As for other games, it really depends on what you plan to play. You might end up needing both a new CPU and GPU for a great experience.

Honestly, at this point, you might want to consider a whole new build. Your current setup is getting a bit outdated, and CS2 will likely benefit from better hardware across the board. Just something to think about!

If your GPU isn't maxing out during gaming, it sounds like your CPU could be holding you back. Upgrading to a newer CPU may boost your FPS significantly. Just keep an eye on which games you plan to play, as some might still require a GPU upgrade eventually.
