I recently returned my Intel CPU and made the switch to AMD. I'm setting up my new system with an ASUS ROG STRIX X870-F GAMING WIFI motherboard and an AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D CPU. I'm wondering if the DDR5 RAM I bought three years ago is going to hold back my performance. I've heard that having RAM around 6000MHz is optimal. Also, I'm interested in doing some overclocking. Nah, you really don't need to worry about replacing it. Unless you're seeing specific issues, you're all good.
Your RAM should be just fine! It might not be the fastest option out there, but with how RAM prices are right now, upgrading wouldn’t be worth it for just a slight boost in speed.
