I'm in the process of setting up an iPad for my child and created a Gmail account specifically for them. However, when I try to set up the Apple ID, it sends a verification email that never arrives. I've checked the SPAM folder and it's not there, and I've even added [email protected] and [email protected] to the contacts of the child's Gmail account. Is there something I'm overlooking?

I totally get your frustration! I've been battling the same issue for days. The verification email just doesn't seem to come through no matter what I've tried.
I did some research and found that Gmail might block certain emails that it thinks are spam for kids' accounts. It's strange because my older kid's account (also under 13) didn't have this issue. I really don't want to switch to iCloud mail for this.
