I recently updated my graphics drivers to NVIDIA's 576.28 version, and I've been facing serious lag issues on my PC ever since. I stream daily on Twitch and TikTok, running my setup at 1440p for recording and 1080p at 60fps for streaming without any problems until this update. Now, I experience extreme desktop lag, making it nearly impossible to type or browse efficiently when any recording or streaming software like OBS or Streamlabs is running. Strangely, the lag disappears the moment I close these programs. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling the drivers, rolling back to previous versions, disabling the onboard graphics from my AMD 9950x3D, and switching from NVENC to software encoding, but nothing seems to work. NVIDIA support suggested disabling the onboard graphics, but that didn't help either. I don't see any temperature or power issues with my setup. If anyone has had similar experiences or knows how to fix this, I would really appreciate your advice! Here are my PC specs: AMD 9950x3D, ASUS TUF RTX 5080 OC, 64 GB DDR5 RAM, ASUS ROG STRIX B650E-E GAMING WIFI Motherboard, and dual 990 PRO M.2 drives with a 1000W PSU.

I had a similar issue when I updated my graphics drivers. What worked for me was going into the BIOS and changing the PCIe settings to force PCIe 4. It helped smooth things out for me! Definitely worth trying!
Sadly, it didn't work for me :’(
I'll give this a go really quick and see if it helps!
