How to Block Annoying Full-Screen Popup Ads?

I've been frustrated with these full-screen popup ads that pop up just seconds after opening some websites. You know, the kind that offers discounts or asks for email subscriptions? They distract me right when I'm getting into an article and cause me to lose my place. I'm already using Adblock and uBlock Origin, and I've enabled recommended filters, but these ads are persistent. Any suggestions on how to get rid of them would be really helpful! Thanks in advance!

Have you tried enabling the annoyances filters in the uBlock Origin dashboard? There are specific options to help block those pesky newsletter popups. The element picker can be a useful tool too, but it does require a bit more work.

Using NoScript alongside uBlock Origin works wonders for me! Plus, you really only need one ad blocker like uBlock Origin; it’s lightweight and effective.

I switched to Proton VPN, and it blocks most annoying ads pretty well. Although, I still see some ads on apps like YouTube when using my phone, but browsing on a desktop is much better.

If you're looking for a more permanent solution, I’d recommend trying out the Brave browser. It has built-in ad blocking features and is super efficient.

Whenever I encounter too many ads, I just switch to reading mode. It's not a perfect solution, but it helps me focus without distractions.
