Can I safely delete files from the $RECYCLE.BIN folder?

I'm trying to figure out if it's safe to delete files from the `$RECYCLE.BIN` folder on my external hard drive. I'm a bit concerned about accidentally losing access to files in my `kBerodces` folder if I do this. Also, I've already solved my problem and deleted the files from `$RECYCLE.BIN`, and thankfully, the files in `kBerodces` are intact and not corrupted!

Absolutely! That's just the structure for the recycle bin. Clearing out that folder won’t affect the actual files elsewhere—it’s just freeing up space.

Just be careful if it’s someone else’s drive! I've seen folks store things in there for weird reasons—like some IT pros!

Yes, it’s totally safe! The `$RECYCLE.BIN` acts like your system's recycle bin. Deleting files from it is just like emptying your regular recycle bin without affecting your main files.

Thanks for the assurance!

Haha, the only safe thing to delete is probably System32! Just kidding, but yeah, clearing out the `$RECYCLE.BIN` is fine.
