I'm considering installing Linux Mint on my Lenovo ThinkCenter M92P, which has an Intel Core i5-3470T 2.9GHz Dual Core Processor, 8GB of DDR3 RAM, and a 256GB SATA storage drive. It also supports multiple displays via VGA and DisplayPort. I'm mainly looking to use this setup for internet browsing. Would this machine handle Linux Mint well? And could I switch to Fedora down the line? Thank you!

That CPU might be a bit dated, but it should work fine for browsing the web.
I've got a similar setup running Mint XFCE, and it performs excellently – good for both schoolwork and light gaming. Don't let Windows' sluggishness fool you; these machines can do well with Linux!
Yes, it should run well. If it feels slow, consider lighter distributions like Lubuntu or MX Linux with XFCE. They're great for older hardware!

So true! My older Sandy Bridge i7 runs Linux smoothly too.
