Hey everyone! I recently picked up a Dell OptiPlex 990 Mini Tower and I'm looking to give it a bit of a boost. I'm considering upgrading the GPU to either a 750ti or a low-profile 3050, but I know I'll need to swap out the PSU for the 3050 and I'm not sure which one would be best. I've also got an Intel Core i7-2600k, 16GB of DDR3 RAM running in dual channel, and I plan to add a PCIe WiFi adapter. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

You won't need to upgrade the PSU for the RTX 3050 6GB; it doesn't require external power. Just plug it in, and you'll have a solid upgrade without the hassle of a new power supply. Just keep in mind that a Dell's proprietary design might limit further upgrades down the line.
I was also concerned about potential bottlenecking with the i7-2600k. It should handle the 3050 quite well, but you might want to keep an eye on temps and performance, especially if you’re running any heavy applications.
Right, the 3050 6GB should work fine without a PSU upgrade. However, if you decide to go that route later, finding a compatible PSU can be tricky since Dells are a bit quirky with their hardware. An ATX PSU won't fit inside the case, so you'd have to have it sitting outside, which can be a hassle.
