Why is my TV saying ‘no signal’ even though my laptop is connected via HDMI?

I'm having trouble connecting my Dell laptop to my LG Smart TV. The TV detects that the PC is connected, but it still displays 'no signal.' I've attempted various troubleshooting steps, like power cycling and checking the cables and drivers, but nothing seems to work. Any advice?

Try pressing Win + P on your laptop and selecting 'Duplicate' to see if that helps. It might not automatically switch to the extended display mode, which could be causing the 'no signal' message.

I tried that too, but it didn’t work for me. Super frustrating!

Have you checked if your TV is set to the right HDMI input? Sometimes it can be on a different one, leading to that 'no signal' issue. Also, you might wanna look in the display settings to see if your TV shows up in the list; if not, maybe the connection isn’t well established yet.
