Why won’t my computer turn on after using it normally?

I came home today ready to use my computer, but when I tried to turn it on, nothing happened. It worked perfectly fine just a couple of days ago. I checked the power cable by using one from my monitor that I know works, but that didn't help either. When I plugged the cable back into my monitor, it stopped working too, which is really strange. I'm at a loss here and am worried something might be wrong. Any ideas on what's going on?

You could try a power reset! Just unplug the power cord, hold the power button for about 30 seconds, and then plug it back in to see if that does the trick.

I tried that but didn't notice any change at all.

When you plug in your computer, do any lights come on, or do the fans spin up at all? It could be completely dead, which is concerning.

Have you checked your electrical breaker or power strip? Sometimes they can trip or malfunction unexpectedly, especially if there was a surge or a short. It’s worth a look!

Yeah, but all my other plugs seem to be working fine, and those cables were just functioning.
