I'm curious if anyone has found a way to keep costs down while using Claude-4-Opus. I've found it really helpful for designing UI/UX in applications—something previous models struggled with. However, my costs have started to mount quickly, even when optimizing prompts and using less capable agents first. At this rate, I'm projected to spend around $1000 a month. I'm currently using Cursor, but I'm considering switching to an API key with Cursor. They mentioned that this could actually be more expensive due to their preferential rates. How is everyone else managing their expenses with this tool?

You might want to check out Claude Max, it's supposed to have better pricing for high usage! Here’s the link: [claude.ai/upgrade](https://claude.ai/upgrade)
Have you considered switching to the Claude Max subscription? It might seem pricey, but you get more generous rate limits, especially on the $200/month plan. If you're only using Opus a few hours at a time, you probably won't even hit 50% of the limits during a session!
That's a good point! But remember, the $200 plan only gives you access to web chat, not the API integration with your codebase—if that's what you need, you might still be looking at API costs.
