Hey everyone! I've just built my PC featuring an AMD 7800X3D processor, and now I'm on the hunt for a budget-friendly GPU from either Nvidia or AMD that'll let me enjoy gaming at 1440p. I'm looking to hold off on the upcoming 6000 series graphics cards for now, but I could really use some advice on what the best options are. My budget is around €350. Thanks for your help!

When it comes to budget, especially for Nvidia, you might want to rethink a bit. It’s usually better to look at AMD options for better value. If you’re considering possible used cards, a 7800 XT might fit your needs as well, or even older models like the RTX 3080 or 6900 XT, which you can sometimes find close to €350.

Thanks for the tips! I'll keep an eye out for those models.

I'd recommend checking out the new RX 9060 XT with 16GB. It's a solid choice for 1440p gaming. If you want something a bit cheaper, the RX 6700 XT is also a good option. Just keep an eye on availability and prices!

Getting the right GPU for gaming is a bit like choosing the right bike for different kinds of cycling—it's important to know what you're aiming for! A more mid-range option like a 4070 or 5070 would cover a lot of games, but if you're looking for max settings at high refresh rates, you might need to compromise on some details unless you go for premium cards.

Running 1440p smoothly really depends on the games you want to play. Some older GTX GPUs can manage basic gaming at that resolution, but if you're aiming for high refresh rates and more demanding games, be prepared to invest a bit more. Just make sure to check the minimum requirements for the games you enjoy!

You mentioned budget is around €300-€350 and that you prefer new cards since finding used ones in Italy can be tough. In that price range, the RX 9060 XT is a strong contender. If you're open to a bit higher, the 5070 is available for around €500, but it’s worth considering if it fits your budget.
