This was my first time subscribing to an app. I initially tried to subscribe to GoodNotes, but the card I used did not allow international payments, so I assumed the app was having an issue and switched to Notability. Before trying the second card in Notability, my dad suggested using it for the original purchase. The payment went through, and I subscribed to Notability as well. About ten minutes later, I discovered that the GoodNotes subscription had also gone through for an entire year. I submitted a refund request today. Is there a reasonable chance it will be approved given that this was an accidental duplicate purchase?

Since you already submitted the refund request, there isn’t much else to do besides wait for the decision. They’ll review the circumstances and either approve or deny it.
It’s worth keeping expectations realistic, but accidental duplicate subscriptions are sometimes refunded—especially when the request is made shortly after the purchase.

Fortunately, they approved the refund.
