I accidentally deleted amtlib.dll last night and restored or reinstalled it after noticing. Since then, Adobe Acrobat won't launch at all. What's the best way to repair the installation and get it working again?

If you mainly need to read PDFs, a lighter viewer could be less cumbersome than Acrobat. For tasks like highlighting, organizing pages, adding labels, or editing, look for a reputable PDF application that specifically supports those features.
A repair install may fix the missing or damaged files without removing everything. If that doesn’t work, uninstall Acrobat and download a fresh installer directly from Adobe rather than replacing individual DLL files.
Try uninstalling Acrobat completely through Windows Settings or Control Panel, then reinstall the latest version from Adobe’s official website. If an Acrobat folder remains afterward, remove the leftover folder before reinstalling, assuming it doesn’t contain any files you need.
