For the past month and a half, my AirPods have randomly disconnected and reconnected repeatedly for several minutes at a time. It first happened with my AirPods Pro 2, sometimes continuing for about five minutes, so I replaced them with AirPods 4. The same problem appeared almost immediately, although less often. I later switched to another pair of AirPods Pro, but the issue still happens once a day or every few days and can last around 15 minutes. It occurs in different places, especially at home and at the gym. I use Spotify and suspect the problem may be related to my phone rather than the earbuds. Has anyone found a reliable fix?

I have seen the same behavior with more than one pair. When it starts, removing one earbud and putting it back in sometimes restores the connection temporarily. If resets and software updates do not help, resetting the phone's network settings would be the next step, though it will remove saved Wi-Fi passwords and Bluetooth pairings.
Since it happens with multiple pairs, the phone or surrounding wireless interference is more likely than defective AirPods. Try disabling automatic device switching, especially if the AirPods are also connected to a Mac, tablet, or watch. Updating all devices and restarting them may also help.

That matches what I have been seeing—the problem followed me across multiple pairs, and taking one earbud out sometimes helps. I will try turning off automatic switching and resetting the network settings.
