I'm looking for a lightweight desktop environment since I only need it for browsing a few tabs and making Discord calls while multitasking. Currently, I'm using Hyprland but I want to switch back to a full desktop environment. XFCE isn't working for me as it feels buggy and choppy. Here are my specs: I'm on Fedora Linux 43 with an Intel i5 CPU, Intel UHD Graphics, and 4GB of RAM. Any suggestions for a smooth experience?

You might want to try MATE. It uses a bit more RAM than some other environments, but it can be pretty smooth. KDE Plasma could also be an option; I think it works fine on lower RAM setups if you adjust some settings.
I’ve had good luck with LXQt. It’s lightweight but does come with some default themes that might not look great—so you’ll want to find a better theme to make it look nice. It should perform well with your setup!
